Maintaining historical accuracy and form, each petticoat is designed with the wearer in mind to fit almost any woman. The pleats on the front and back panels are securely affixed to two 30” long cotton tapes. To wear the petticoat, bring the ties from the back panel around to the front of the body and tie a snug bow in front. Then take the ties on either side of the front panel and tie them snuggly behind your back. On both ends of either panel there are about 5 inches of adjustability. This means if you are a smaller woman, you can adjust the fabric portion enough to access the pocket slit, without effecting the overall lay of the garment. Every petticoat is 36” long from waist to hem. For taller women, there are an additional 3" of fabric in the hem that are able to be let down to the appropriate length.
