Created for folks who have always wanted to try the (centuries-old!) technique of dyeing with indigo, but were intimidated by the process. The complete kit contains the pre-measured ingredients to create one organic indigo vat, with which you can dye fabric, yarn, garments, and home goods in gorgeous shades of blue. The indigo is 100% plant-based and the process is nothing short of magical, as you watch the fibers turn from green to blue as they oxidize. The fabric or fiber of choice is sold seperately.
The kit comes with detailed instructions aimed at an absolute beginner, which guide the user step by step. Packaged in a sturdy, recyclable kraft paper box that has been silk-screened by hand, they are a ready-to-go gift.
